3 Tips For Living A Healthy Lifestyle Part 2

Last week we told you about three easy things you can do to make your life healthier overall. This week we’re back with another set of tips that are easy to follow and are bound to have a huge impact on your health and lifestyle. Without further ado here are three more easy and painless tips you can incorporate into your life to feel healthier!

1) Incorporate fruits and vegetables into your diet

This should seem pretty obvious by now. Eating fruits and vegetables is guaranteed to make you healthier. Not only are fruits and veggies delicious, they are essential to keeping our bodies free of harmful toxins and chemicals. It’s recommended that we eat 3 – 5 servings of fruits and vegetables each but most people don’t take in even half that amount. The easiest way to begin incorporating fruits and veggies into your diet is one piece at a time. Begin by having a banana with your breakfast and an apple with lunch. You can also toss a handful of berries into your cereal or yogurt for another easy serving. For dinner always make sure to throw some veggies into the oven for a delicious roast. There’s an endless number of ways to add them into your diet so make sure you give them a chance!

2) Add More Movement to Your Life

In the first installment of this post we discussed how taking the stairs is an easy way to add more movement into your life. However, this is just one of the many ways you can add more movement to your life. Movement is essential to living a healthy life. The more you move the more fit you’ll be and the better you’ll feel. If it’s possible try walking to work or school instead of taking your car in the morning. Make sure to stay active for at least 20 minutes every day. If you can’t join a gym use your computer or phone to access fun and easy exercise videos. And if all else fails, just turn on some of your favorite tunes and dance around!

3) Keep a Record

We often times can’t monitor how well we eat or how much be exercise because those things often slip our mind in the hustle and bustle of daily life. That being said, keeping a journal of what you’ve eaten and how much you’ve exercised is an easy, effective, and simple way to monitor your health. Write down what you’ve eaten for each meal right after you finish eating so that you remember clearly. At the end of the week or the month go through your journal and decide whether you feel the need to incorporate more fruits, vegetables, or water into your diet. Do the same for exercise. Having a solid record will keep you motivated and help you set realistic expectations for yourself!
